The Coldwell Banker brand was founded in 1906 and is the oldest real estate organization. Coldwell Banker was founded under the premise of professionalism and customer service.

After the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fire, Colbert Coldwell saw the need for honest, knowledgeable real estate services to help build up the city.

As Coldwell started growing, he hired Arthur Banker as a member of his sales staff. As time passed Coldwell and Banker formed a partnership and in 1914 officially named the company Coldwell Banker.

Coldwell Banker has over 3,000 US offices and 117,00 sales associates worldwide. And in 2006 had over $300 billion in US and Canada Sales.
